I graduated from Parkland High School in 2018 and then completed my Bachelor's in Education (PreK-4) in 2022 from Kutztown University. During my Summer breaks, I worked at South Whitehall Township as a camp counselor and eventually supervisor in my last year. After I graduated college I was hired as a long-term substitute here at East Penn, covering 4th grade, 5th grade, and Kindergarten. As of Summer 2024, I was hired as a full-time Kindergarten teacher at Wescosville Elementary.
My favorite parts about being a kindergarten teacher include (but are not limited to): seeing increased confidence and overall academic, social, and emotional growth throughout the year, providing meaningful school experiences, and preparing students for the real-world.
As my love for the profession grows, this past Fall of 2024, I have decided to continue my own education at Kutztown University. I am working towards my Masters in Education for the Reading Specialist Certification. This certification allows me to increase my knowledge, understanding, and strategies when teaching students how to become successful readers.
Aside from work and school, the spare time I do have is spent in the gym as a Certified Personal Trainer. I consider myself a health-enthusiast, always ensuring I keep my body healthy and strong, while coaching others to do so.
Check out our Family Tech Resources Website! The purpose of this site is to provide both students and families of the East Penn School District resources on the technology they are using in the classroom. Some of the resources are created by East Penn, while others may be created by the companies themselves.
