Currently, I teach Geometry CP and Geometry Concepts.
This course employs an interactive, workplace-centered approach to learning geometric concepts. t is ideal for contextual learners. Geometric concepts are introduced, practiced, and applied in the context of the workplace. Students are encouraged to become active learners as they interact with the text to discover how a concept works, while increasing their capacity for problem solving. This course does not include the rigor of the Geometry CP course, but covers many of the same concepts including points, lines, planes, angles, congruence, triangles, circles, area, volume, right angle relationships, and similarity
This course gives considerable attention to developing an understanding of the nature of deductive proof, the role of definitions and the meanings and uses of assumptions in writing proofs. Students are encouraged to think of geometry as a system requiring logic of thought as opposed to a less precise system based only upon observation and measurement. This course includes the study of both plane and solid figures. t is recommended that students take Algebra 1, Algebra 2, and Geometry, in that order, to ensure success on SAT’s and upper level courses. (Fulfills STEM requirement for graduation).
The purpose of the Bible Study Club is to allow students to learn more about the Bible, learn how to live a Christ-centered life and to fellowship with other students. Meetings are Tuesday mornings from 6:45-7:15am and many times, lessons and scripture is taught by local pastors in the surrounding Lehigh Valley area! Time for prayer requests and biblical discussions are also intertwined into the Bible study time.
Objective of organization:
• Help build houses
• Help fundraise for H4H
• Advocate and educate about H4H
You don't need all of these supplies. We will have some available in the classroom for all students to use.
1 sturdy backpack
Sharpened pencil or mechanical pencil
eraser
1 pack of colored pencils, markers or highlighters
pocket folder or notebook for the notes/homework
1 set of headphones or earbuds (for classroom technology use)
scientific calculator with sin/cos/tan or trig buttons
You can always email me with questions, but the best way to see what we're doing in class and if your child has assignments coming up is by getting connected on the Schoology!
This is my primary means of communication.
Check out our Family Tech Resources Website! The purpose of this site is to provide both students and families of the East Penn School District resources on the technology they are using in the classroom. Some of the resources are created by East Penn, while others may be created by the companies themselves.
