In learning support, we use a variety of intervention programs during students' math and English Language Arts (ELA) time. Additionally, students receive support at various times in their general education classrooms through pull-out, push-in, and co-teaching models.
Second grade students receive 30 minutes of math pull-out instruction during their Math Intervention & Enrichment (I&E) block. They receive foundational math skills and number sense instruction utilizing the intervention program Bridges and/or iReady Tools for Instruction.
*Note- Students may receive additional support with Mrs. Moseman within the general education classroom or during their ELA I&E time.
Third grade students in Mrs. Clifton's homeroom receive Co-taught Math and ELA instruction in their general education classroom. Additionally, some students receive pull-out instruction during their Math and/or ELA Intervention & Enrichment (I&E) blocks. Students pulled out to my classroom for ELA I&E receive phonics and encoding (spelling) instruction utilizing the Orton Gillingham (OG) intervention. Students pulled out to my classroom for Math I&E receive number sense, calculation, and problem solving instruction utilizing iReady Tools for Instruction and supplemental materials that align with their IEP goals.
4th grade students in Mrs. Huebner's homeroom receive some push-in ELA instruction in their general education classroom. Additionally, some students receive pull-out instruction during their Math and/or ELA Intervention & Enrichment (I&E) blocks. You can always email me with questions, but the best way to see what we're doing in class and if your child has assignments coming up is by getting connected on the following two programs!
This is my primary means of communication. I will send out weekly updates on Seesaw.
Students will receive digital assignments and assessments in Google Classroom. I will send home a paper copy at the beginning of the year to connect to your child's Google Classroom OR message me to request an email link to connect.
Check out our Family Tech Resources Website! The purpose of this site is to provide both students and families of the East Penn School District resources on the technology they are using in the classroom. Some of the resources are created by East Penn, while others may be created by the companies themselves.
