Student Intern Teacher Program

The Student Intern Teaching Program is a chance for our students to serve as assistant teachers in classrooms at Emmaus High School. We are currently preparing students for many career fields after high school, but this program allows us to support students in a career path that is the closest to all of us - secondary education.

Starting in the 2020-2021 school year, the Student Intern Teacher (SIT) program will be open to 12th grade students to work alongside teachers in classes with underclassmen. Our EHS teachers serve as voluntary cooperating/mentor teachers. Senior students will apply into this program and presumably have an interest in teaching and learning. This is a great way for seniors to take leadership, serve as role models, and connect with underclassmen in a variety of ways and to enrich and support their classroom experiences.
