Top 5 Brainrot Words Teachers Hate to See Coming
Brainrot is a term that refers to material of low or addictive quality, typically in online media, that preoccupies someone to the point it is said to affect mental functioning.
Over a few weeks, our team has been going around asking teachers what their least favorite brainrot words are and these are the results. (Please be kind and DO NOT use these words in any way that could upset teachers!)
In the fifth spot as an honorable mention (the one teacher who said this told me to make sure to add it) is ‘’all of it,” meaning all the brainrot.
Tied in the number four spot is Ohio and 4-1 coming up 2 times each - Ohio meaning something peculiar (following a meme trend cycle of picking a weird place as a metaphor) and 4-1 was an attempt to takeover 6-7.
In the number three spot is Italian brain rot coming up 3 times. These fake Italian phrases come from AI generated characters that blew up on TikTok.
In second place would be Skibidi Toilet coming up 4 times. This is still around from the YouTube animated series that has morphed into a general adjective.
And in the number one spot with a whopping eleven mentions is 6-7, a term originating from an original song from last December.
In conclusion, the most hated brain rot word among teachers is 6-7. Be careful because one of your teachers might ‘’crash out’’ if they hear you say this!
