3. Place to put papers. Most students get binders to put their notes, assignments or any other papers given to them throughout the year. They could have a Social Studies binder for this. There isn't a notebook or binder check, so I encourage students to set up their binder any way that helps them succeed or be comfortable. The goal is to keep them organized. The best advice I can give a student regarding organization in 7th grade is to keep each subject separate from each other. In other words, keep the Social Studies worksheets in a different place from the Science and Math, etc. As we finish a unit (about 3 a quarter) those papers can be discarded.
