While communication is defined as the exchange of ideas, news, or information,
we must also consider the message being communicated.
Protests, riots, court cases, literature and various types of art have all been historically used as forms of communication in response to an issue. In order to understand the role communication plays in history, we must research what took place during the historical time period of interest and the impact of the messages conveyed during that time. All communication happens as part of a larger story and this story includes the motivation for communicating with each other in the first place.
