After a pilot year, ELPS chose to replace STAR with I-ready due to superior data reports broken into domains, , access to standards-based assessments and personalized, online-instruction. While the diagnostic takes a bit longer than the STAR, testing sessions can be broken into shorter segments, and I-ready provides built in brain breaks. The benefit of a longer assessment means we can find out more about our students, possibly reducing the number of other diagnostic assessments that need to be administered.
