PODCAST CLUB AT EAST HANOVER MIDDLE SCHOOL
What is on the Record?
On The Record is a Podcast Club that was created to give students a forum to openly discuss a wide range of topics related to life at East Hanover Middle School.
Topics range from strategies that help drive academic success to the challenges surrounding growing up in the age of social media and everything in between.
What we believe:
Often times students can feel like they are the only ones who may be experiencing certain emotions or feelings.
We believe that peer influence has a profound impact on how students see themselves and the world around them.
Real and honest conversations amongst peers can improve their outlook and help them to realize they are not alone in their experiences.
We believe that it is important to share those conversations with as many people as we can so that everyone can benefit from hearing what students have to say about topics that are effecting them.
WHO WE ARE
About our members
On The Record Podcast Club is open to 8th grade students only. Students who sign up will be selected for an interview; during which they will share why they would like to be a part of the club, a little bit about who they are and what they hope to achieve in their last year at EHMS.
Each recording will include no more than 5 students so that everyone has a chance to contribute to podcast conversations.
Every student in the club will be able to participate in at least 1-3 podcasts through out the year. Meetings and recordings will occur during the 8th grade lunch period.
Sign ups for the 2023-2024 school year will take place in the fall.
Students must maintain good academic standing through out the year to be a member.
How can you hear us?
Our podcasts will post monthly. The link to the posts can be found on the East Hanover Middle School webpage. As well as by clicking the links posted on this webpage on the Listen to Podcast Tab.
Podcasts will be organized by date. The title for each podcast will summarize the topics that we discussed during that session.
Sometimes conversations can run longer than we would like to have in one podcast. In those cases we will continue with part 2 in another podcast session.
