Ms. Fahmida Akhter is an Assistant Professor of Accounting & Information Systems, School of Business Administration at East Delta University, Bangladesh. Her area of concentration is Accounting & Information Systems. She joined EDU in 2015. Prior to joining at EDU, she worked as a faculty member of Bangladesh Army International University of Science & Technology, Cumilla. 

With a blend of academic expertise and the real world experience, she strive to empower future business leaders to thrive in an ever evolving global landscape. In particular, she is dedicated to advancing the understanding of financial practices and Regulations. Considering her teaching performance, research excellence and leadership role, she has been vested with several significant role of the university. 

In addition, she performed the role of the BBA Coordinator of East Delta University from July 2017 to June 2021 successfully. Ms Akhter also served as an Advisor of Social Service Club. Her research interest lies in the area of Big Data Analytics, Supply Chain, Corporate Governance, Corporate Social Responsibility Practices of Firms, Sustainable Environmental Practices of Corporations, Human Resource Disclosure Practices and other voluntary disclosure practices of Companies and Sustainable Tourism. Her articles have been published in various national and international peer-reviewed academic journals.
