Duration of the Program: 18 months (03 semesters)

Total Credits: 60 (20 credits per semester)

TUITION & FEES

To pay tribute to Binod Bihari Chowdhury, a prominent figure in the resistance against British rule in Chattogram, all incoming students of MA in TESOL would be granted a 70% bursary towards their tuition fees. Additional exemptions will be provided to students based on their bachelor's Cumulative Grade Point Average (CGPA). Please refer to the following section for a detailed description of fee structure. Admission Form Fee: BDT 1,000 (To be paid while applying for admission)

Admission Fee: BDT 35,000 (One-time payment applicable to all during the admission)

Semester Fee: BDT 20,500 (To be paid at the beginning of each semester)

Tuition Fee: BDT 5,000 per credit (Might vary based on merit as detailed in the subsequent section)

APPLICATION REQUIREMENT (S)

a. Graduates with a BA (Hons.) degree in English or relevant field (e.g. Education, Linguistics, ELT, and Applied Linguistics) with minimum second division or CGPA 2.50 from any university recognized by the University Grants Commission of Bangladesh can apply directly.


b. Graduates from related faculties/disciplines/schools (e.g. Arts, Humanities, Social Science, Education, Psychology, Communication, Development Studies, and Educational Research) can apply if they have a fulltime teaching experience of at least two years at any level and the required results.

Chairman’s Excellence Scholarship – MA in TESOL

Eligibility: Bachelor’s degree with a CGPA of 3.50 (Non-EDU Graduates) or 3.30 (EDU Graduates) following the criteria stated in the “APPLICATION REQUIREMENT” section

Scholarship Value: 86% waiver on tuition fee (to be adjusted every semester)

Dr. Muhammad Shahidullah Memorial Scholarship – MA in TESOL

Eligibility: Bachelor’s degree with a CGPA of 3.00 to 3.499 (Non-EDU Graduates) or 2.75 to 3.29 (EDU Graduates)) following the criteria stated in the “APPLICATION REQUIREMENT” section

Scholarship Value: 80% waiver on tuition fee (to be adjusted every semester)

Binod Bihari Chowdhury Scholarship – MA in TESOL

Eligibility: Bachelor’s degree with a CGPA of 2.50 to 2.999 (Non-EDU Graduates) or 2.5 to 2.74 (EDU Graduates) following the criteria stated in the “APPLICATION REQUIREMENT” section

Scholarship Value: 70% waiver on tuition fee (to be adjusted every semester)
