Ananya Nandy is an Assistant Professor of Economics at the Department of Economics at East Delta University, Chattogram, Bangladesh. She has ten years of teaching experience at the Undergraduate level with both core and advanced economics courses.
Ananya has completed her Bachelor of Economics (Hons.) from Calcutta University, India. With major interest in Economics and applied Economics she has pursued Masters in Economics with Distinction from Calcutta University, India. Her concentration subject areas of Master's include Advanced Econometrics and Environmental Economics.
After completion of her master’s degree, Ananya was involved in extensive research projects with the Department of Economics in Jadavpur University, India funded by international organizations such as SANDEE (South Asian Network for Development and Environment Economics) and International Energy Agency, Paris, France. Her current research areas include problems related to environmental pollution and linking the problem with Sustainable Development Goals (SDG). She has presented her research papers in national and international conferences, including the National University of Singapore and renowned universities in Bangladesh. Her research paper and articles were published in international journals. Ananya is a member of the Bangladesh Economic Association. Ananya has diverse experience working in the data and evaluation unit and international promotion unit at Family Planning New South Wales, Australia, for more than four years along with academic experiences.
Currently, she plays a dynamic role in teaching vital economics courses at the university, in addition to her academic administration and leadership responsibilities.
