About Me

Hi! My name is Sharon Rahman and this will be my second year teaching the Spanish side of the kindergarten SI program at Barton Creek. I'm eager to meet all of the incoming kindergarteners!

Last year I moved to Austin from San Francisco with my husband. There I taught fourth and first grade as a Spanish biliteracy teacher. Before that I was living and teaching ESL in Medellin, Colombia for nearly three years.

Teaching kids is my passion. I love to create a safe environment where my students can learn while having fun! I balance my work with yoga, hiking, and reading. I also have a deep love of travel and dance.

I had a wonderful experience at BCE last year teaching incredible kiddos with a brilliant kindergarten team and supportive community. I can't wait to create a new class family in which we grow together and learn from one another.
