About Me

Hello!  My name is Mari Silvera.  I am very excited to be a part of the fourth grade team at Eanes Elementary.  I was born and raised in Honduras and came to the United States to start my sophomore year in college.  Since then, I have lived in Vermont, Iowa, and Texas.   I have lived in Austin with my husband and my two children for 22 years.  I have 16 years of teaching experience including 2 years teaching middle school Spanish as well as 13 years teaching at the elementary level in a Dual Language setting.  In my free time, I enjoy walking, hiking, traveling, and spending time with family and friends. 

I have a passion for teaching! My goal is to empower students to find their inner strengths and discover what inspires them to become long life-learners.  I hold the responsibilities of an educator to very high standards, and I strive to provide my students the necessary tools to succeed in their education.  I am committed to providing support to the social and academic growth and development of every student.
