Cecilia Gunn

About Me

My name is Mrs. Cecilia Gunn and I am thrilled to be beginning my eleventh year of teaching in Eanes ISD.

I have lived in Austin since I was eight years old, well, except for four years my husband Justin and I decided to move away on a whim to New York City. We couldn't stay away from Austin for too long. I received my undergraduate degrees in Political Science and Speech Communications and my graduate degree in Elementary Education from Texas State University. My desire to be a positive influence in my community and make positive change has guided me through my careers, beginning in the political environment at the state level, leading to teaching where I work closely with children in all elementary grade levels.

My husband Justin and I have a nine year old daughter named Stella and a three year old son named Jesse. They sure do keep us on our toes! In our leisure time you might find us outdoors swimming, hiking, or gardening, playing with our two pups Mikey and Olive, or cooking making a huge mess in the kitchen. In my leisure time you might find me snuggled up reading, knitting, or surfing the Internet researching all sorts of Do-It-Yourself projects.

I am looking forward to the new school year and working with all the wonderful families of the Cedar Creek community!
