About Me

Welcome to 5th Grade! My name is Laura Howard, and I will be teaching RLA and 5th Grade Math. 

I am originally from Arizona, and I grew up in a large family with six brothers and sisters. I moved to Utah to attend Brigham Young University, then taught for two years in Utah. I also taught in Austin ISD for a year, and I have taught both 4th grade and 6th grade. 

My husband, Sam, and I moved to Austin last year, and we love it here! I enjoy playing video games with my husband, taking walks, baking, sewing, reading, and running. My favorite books are Gregor the Overlander, Ground Zero, and Click, Clack, Moo: Cows That Type. 

We are going to have a fabulous 5th grade year!
