My name is Kimmie Perez and I am so excited to be your kindergarten teacher at Cedar Creek Elementary! Teaching kindergarten is truly a passion of mine and I am committed to creating a fun and engaging learning environment for all of my students.

I have been teaching for 8 years and have worked with children of various ages, but kindergarten has always held a special place in my heart. I believe that the early years of a child's education are crucial in building a strong foundation for future learning. It is my goal to help each of my students develop a love for learning and a curiosity about the world around them. 

A little about me..

I live in South Austin with my two daughters, Addison (Westlake-11th) and Sophia (Hill Country Middle School-7th). My son, Javen, graduated from Westlake and is a now a freshman at CU Boulder.

I love the outdoors and staying active... paddle boarding, hiking, hot yoga, barre, running and pilates are some of my faves! When I'm not spending time with my family or teaching, I love helping kids learn to manage emotions and  learn how to express their needs through mindfulness.
