About Me

Hi, Eagle families! I’m thrilled to be a part of the 4th grade team at Cedar Creek this year. I am a native Texan born and raised in Liberty. My mother was an elementary school teacher for 45 years and a huge inspiration in me becoming an educator. I moved to Austin in 1999 to attend The University of Texas where I earned my Bachelor’s degree in Applied Learning and Development. 

I spent 18 years in Austin ISD teaching 2nd, 3rd and 5th grade. My husband teaches Texas History down the street at Hill Country MS. We have 2 children and 2 dogs. Our daughter is in 8th grade and our son just turned 1 this past summer! Together we enjoy playing in the backyard, going for walks around the neighborhood, and laughing at the funny things our dogs get themselves into. My hobbies include baking, listening to music, solving puzzles and watching reality tv and scary movies.

Math has always been my favorite subject to learn and teach. It’s fun getting kids excited about math and helping them discover how it applies to the real world.
