Hi there! I'm Jen Rheingold and I am so excited to be teaching 3rd grade for a third year here at Barton Creek Elementary. I'm looking forward to learning from and growing with all of you!

A little about me - I was born and raised in southern California, where I developed my love for nature and for learning. I either spent my time outside in the tide pools or inside my mom's elementary classroom. I knew from a very young age that teaching was my calling in life. I went on to study Biology and Environmental Science at Boston College, then received my Master's in Elementary Education in New York City.

I'm so grateful to now be here in Austin. I love spending my free time outdoors, playing board games, and spending quality time with my family and dear friends. You can often find me paddling on the lake or on hikes with my dog, Bodhi! 

I can't wait to get to know you all. I promise that you will be welcomed into a classroom that is safe, encouraging, challenging, and lots of fun. It's going to be a wonderful school year!
