About Me

Greetings!

4th Grade at Forest Trail Elementary, are you ready! I'm thrilled to be working with our wonderful team again this year.

This will be my 3rd year in 4th grade, and my 7th year teaching at Forest Trail Elementary.

I am from Canada, the big white north. My family and I have lived all over the world. In places like Korea, Taiwan, and India. We love traveling and visiting new places! My parents live in Austin, but my younger brother Josh lives in Canada with his wife, she is a baker and he is a chef.

I have lived in Austin since the 6^th grade. I went to Westridge Middle School, and Westlake High School. I graduated from Westlake in 2004. After high school, I attended Texas A&M - Corpus Christi (TAMUCC), and completed my Bachelors in Bio-Medical Sciences (Pre-Dental). After realizing I should be following my heart, and not the dollar signs, I decided to pursue a career in teaching. In December of 2014 I completed my Master's in Elementary Education at TAMUCC, knowing full well that I wanted to return to the Eanes District. My program sent me back to Austin to complete my student teaching semester, and I found a home here at Forest Trail.

While working at Forest Trail I've fallen in love with the students, parents, and culture of our community. I've taught in Kindergarten, 3rd Grade, and now I'm a proud 4th Grade Forest Trail Falcon!
