Hello! Bienvenidos! Bonjour! Aloha! Welcome, all who have wandered onto my site. My name is Elysha Sandoval, but most people call me Ms. Sandy. :D This will be my sixth year teaching First Grade at Eanes Elementary, and I am thrilled to be here!
I am a native Texan born in South Texas. However, I have lived in California and France (during my study abroad, but it still counts!). It has been a privilege to work alongside mentors who have provided support and growth opportunities. I hope to be such an influence on your child. A world in teaching is one of my most extraordinary journeys yet. Along the way, I have traveled, networked, and found some of the most unique and interesting people. Throughout this journey, I gained the opportunity to experience the culture and traditions I can hopefully share with your child in class.
In my downtime, I enjoy being outdoors and staying active. My favorite activities include traveling, hiking, rock climbing, paddle boarding, and yoga! I have a six-year-old cat named Meraki and a three-year-old pup named Koda, who keep me busy. :)
I believe that every child deserves a meaningful and relevant educational experience. As an educator, I am responsible for finding the most effective approach for every student. My goal is to create a safe, encouraging, and adaptive environment to provide students with the necessary care and education to be successful lifelong learners. I am an advocate for positive and supportive learning in my classroom. I believe that children learn at different levels and speeds, so there is always an opportunity for growth.
I am so grateful to have what I believe is the best job in the world. I am excited to work with you and get to know every one of you better.

I love nature and playing outside! This summer I spent my time mostly at the lake, and enjoyed every minute of it!
This is my kitty Meraki who loves to lounge. :D
This is my pup Koda. She is my outdoor partner who enjoys extra long walks. :)
Enjoying my time outside climbing at Reimer's Ranch.
