Bienvenidos and welcome to 5th Grade! My name is Deana Locklear. I was born in Laredo, TX and raised between there and here...its a looong story!!
I attended and earned my degree from The University of Texas a very, very long time ago.. Once a Longhorn, always a Longhorn!
This is my 1st year with Eanes ISD and I'm so happy to be here! I have taught in Laredo, Lake Travis, and Austin all together for over 30 years. I absolutely LOVE what I do.
My husband (Jeffrey) and I have three daughters (Mika, Isa, and Sofi)...two of whom are kindergarten teachers...two giant cats (Kiwi and Lola) and one very special dog named Apollo.
Some of my favorite things include: baking, crafting, thrifting, gardening, singing loudly...and out of tune, hosting giant cooking marathons with the entire family, spicy salsa, strong coffee, Bigfoot (I'm always on the lookout) ghosts (got so many stories), and aliens (knew they were real all along).
I'm so excited to be joining the Eanes Family and can't wait to share all things Science, Math, and Spanish with you.
My door is always open...not really because we have to keep them locked...but you get what I mean...
