About Me

I am thrilled to be starting my 28th year education here in Austin, Texas! I hold a Bachelor's degree in Elementary Education (Grades 1-8) with a lifetime certification in Science (Grades 1-8), as well as a Science certification for grades 7- 12. I also earned my Masters degree in Curriculum Instruction with a focus on Integrated Science, and I recently expanded my certification to include Early Childhood through 12th Grade Special Education. 

Throughout my career, I've had the privilege of teaching in El Paso, Schertz, San Antonio, Las Vegas, and mostly with the Department of Defense Education Activity in Japan. While I've loved the opportunities and experiences abroad, I'm excited to return to my Texas roots and continue serving students and families here at home.

I'm a proud mom of three sons and a grandmother to three wonderful grandchildren. When I'm not in the classroom you'll often find me traveling, exploring the outdoors, hiking, biking, swimming, or spending time near the water with my camera in hand, capturing photos of wildlife and flowers. Weekends are my favorite time to be with my children, grandchildren, friends, and family – soaking in all the beauty and fun that Texas has to offer.
