Mrs. Kelner
Mrs. Kelner
My name is Caroline Kelner. I am originally from Alberta, Canada but spent my childhood moving south from the suburbs of Chicago, to Denver and then finally San Antonio. I went to The University of Texas (Hook Em!) and received my degree in All-Level Special Education. I taught in Chicago Public Schools my first 4 years before moving back to Texas in 2011, where I did a year as an ABA Therapist.
I am thrilled to be starting my 19th year of teaching and my 14th year at Barton Creek Elementary. There truly is no greater place to be. Over the years, I have had the opportunity to co-teach alongside some of BCE's greatest educators, and I am so excited to continue my journey here as a Campus Support Specialist & Interventionist. Teaching students the tools they need to learn to read gives me so much joy.
As an educator, I strongly believe in forming a relationship that lets students know they are safe to take risks in their learning and that I will be there with them every step of the way. I really look forward to making this year the best it can possibly be. Thank you for your support and trust!
My Family
I have been married to my husband, Robin for 13 years. We have 2 sons at BCE. Lane will be in 2nd grade and Brooks will be in Kinder. Both boys were lucky to be part of the BCE CDC since they were 3 months old. Needless to say, BCE feels like home 😊
We love to travel, hike, ski and spend time at the lake together. The boys fish, while I dive into a good book!
