About Me
Hello! I am beyond excited to continue my teaching journey at Barton Creek Elementary. I graduated from the University of Houston with a Bachelors of Science in Kinesiology, and I have a long history and passion in the fitness industry. I am certified to teach Health and Physical Education.
I believe that physical education is more than just exercise; it's an avenue for character development, team work, and personal growth. In my classes, I strive to cultivate an environment where each student feels encouraged and supported to discover their strengths and test their limits. Through interactive games, sport challenges, and tailored fitness programs, my goal is to ignite a passion for health that extends far beyond the gymnasium walls.
I grew up in the diverse city of Houston, and I understand the unique needs of our community. I am dedicated to ensure that my teaching approach is inclusive and adaptable, catering to a wide range of abilities and backgrounds. It's my goal to make every student feel included and spark a positive change in the overall health of our youth.
Preferred Attire
To ensure a safe and enjoyable experience during our Elementary School PE classes, it's important that all students come dressed in suitable attire. Please make sure your child wears comfortable, breathable clothing that allows for unrestricted movement. Closed-toed athletic shoes are recommended to provide proper support and prevent any potential injuries. These shoes should be securely fastened to the feet to ensure stability while engaging in various physical activities. As we embark on our exciting fitness journey, we want all students to feel at ease and ready to participate fully, so please ensure your child arrives dressed appropriately in clothing and footwear that fosters an active and energetic spirit.
