About Me

I am from Scottsdale, Arizona and come from a very large family. I moved to Austin 16 years ago. I have a 14 year old son named Charlie who is a Freshman at Westlake High School. We live in Lost Creek with our 2 Beagles.

I received my Bachelor’s degree from the University of Southern California and my Master’s degree in Education from Arizona State University. This is my 8th year at Valley View, but my 22nd year teaching children. I taught first and second grade general education for 13 years, fourth grade for 1 year, and have been teaching special education for the past 8 years. Of all the levels and places I’ve taught, teaching Special Education at Valley View is by far my favorite!
