The main concepts in 7 honors are number and operations; proportionality; expressions, equations and relationships; geometery measurements, financial literacy and data analysis, and probability. The lessons are designed so that new learning builds on preceding skills and are needed to learn new skills. Communication, Problem-Solving, Reasoning, Connections, and Representation are the process that are embedded throughout the teaching and learning of mathematical concept. Students will be exposed to higher level thinking problems, and will invest more time and energy in independant work.
