Annie Porterfield

My name is Annie Porterfield, and I am so excited to begin my first year at Eanes Elementary! This will be my fourth year teaching, and I’ve previously taught 2nd and 3rd grade Math and Science.

I have a background in STEAM education and am passionate about creating hands-on, engaging learning experiences for my students. I'm especially excited to bring that creativity and energy into the Kindergarten classroom!

Building a strong classroom community is at the heart of my teaching. I believe in creating a space where students feel safe, valued, and connected—a true classroom family. I can’t wait to grow, learn, and have fun together this year in Room H219!

Education

I attended the University of Georgia in Athens, Georgia, where I earned both my Bachelor and Master of Science in Early Childhood Education, along with a certificate in Teaching English as a Second Language. Go Dawgs! 🐾

Outside of the Classroom

I enjoy reading a good book on my kindle, thrifting for clothes or trinket hunting, trying new coffee and matcha places, and dancing.
