Hey! My name is Dr. Lindsay Warner, and I am a Licensed Professional Counselor. I obtained my bachelors degree in Psychological Science from the University of Connecticut, my master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from the University of Saint Joseph, my master’s degree in Human Services Counseling: Crisis Response and Trauma from Liberty University and received my Doctor of Health Science degree from Bay Path University.
I specialize in working with adults with a trauma history as well as parents navigating the DCF system and the grief, trauma, guilt and shame that comes along with a DCF journey.
With a friendly and warm style, I work to create a safe and supportive space where clients can work through their trauma and process difficult emotions.
I am trained in Accelerated Resolution Therapy (ART). ART is rooted in evidence-based therapies that utilize eye movements however, ART has been shown to be more efficient with completing treatment in 1 to 5 sessions. The goal of ART is to help clients reprocess and reprogram their trauma, reinforce positive memories and to allow clients remember their trauma objectively to restore one’s functioning. After ART client’s trauma memories are stored in the brain differently so that they no longer trigger strong emotional or physical reactions.
