About Dr. Diane Tarricone:
Life throws curveballs—some funny, some not so much. I'm here for all of it. As a licensed professional counselor with a Ph.D. in Counseling Psychology, I believe healing happens best when you feel genuinely understood, whether we're tackling your biggest fears or celebrating your wins with the occasional well-timed joke.
Think of me as your thinking partner who happens to have really good training in how minds work. I've spent years helping people transform anxiety into confidence, turn trauma into resilience, and convert "I can't" into "watch me."
In addition to my private practice, I provide in-school clinical support for Ashford Elementary School students and families, bringing mental health resources directly into the educational environment where children spend so much of their time. This in-person support includes individual therapy for students, crisis management when tough moments arise, family support and guidance to help the whole household thrive, and collaboration with educators to help them understand current approaches to emotional intelligence and regulation. Because when everyone's on the same team, kids do better.
My Approach:
I practice Solution-Focused Brief Therapy—which means we spend less time rehashing problems and more time building the skills you need to solve them. Whether you're dealing with panic attacks that feel overwhelming, performance anxiety that's holding you back, depression that's dimmed your spark, or trauma that needs careful, compassionate attention, we'll work together to find what actually works for you.
For parents of special needs children, I'm here to help you navigate your unique journey—to express your joys, your sorrows, your fears—so you know you're not alone. Your experience matters, and finding support shouldn't feel like another item on your overwhelming to-do list.

What to Expect:
Every person's journey is different. Some clients need space to process difficult experiences with gentle humor as medicine. Others want practical tools they can use immediately. Many need both. I adapt to what serves you best—sometimes that's evidence-based techniques, sometimes it's unconventional approaches that help breakthrough happen, and yes, occasionally it's a perfectly timed moment of levity that helps you see things differently.
Why Work Together:
Therapy works best when you feel safe enough to be real. My job is creating that space—where your anxiety makes sense, your goals matter, and your progress gets celebrated. Whether you're an athlete struggling with performance pressure, someone whose worry has taken over daily life, a parent navigating the beautiful complexity of raising a special needs child, or someone on a journey of self-discovery exploring what it truly means to be human, you'll find both the expertise and the warmth you need here.
