My name is Abbey Marsalisi, LMSW. I am a Licensed Master Social Worker and a certified School Social Worker. I currently serve as the school social worker at the elementary level, and I feel incredibly fortunate to love my job as much as I do. I am so excited to bring my skills to the private practice level!
I earned my bachelor’s degree from Assumption College in 2019 and my Master of Social Work from Sacred Heart University in 2022. During my time at SHU, I completed internships at Wheeler Clinic—where I worked as a children’s outpatient therapist with kids ages 3–18—and at Norwich Free Academy, supporting high school students during my second-year placement. In addition, I am a Licensed Behavior Technician and worked as an ABA therapist with children with autism from 2019–2021.
In my role, I support students in building emotional resilience, accountability, positive relationships, effective behavioral management skills, and healthy coping strategies. I have worked with a diverse range of needs and backgrounds, and I consistently approach my work from an equitable perspective, with the belief that every child has the capacity to reach their fullest potential. I am passionate about creating a safe, trusting, supportive, and empowering space for every child and family I work with.
Outside of work, I enjoy working out first thing in the morning, being out in the sunshine, listening to all genres of music (besides country) , spending time with friends and family, and being with my adorable cats, Scout and Stella.
