THIS WEEK IN TECHNOLOGY - WEEK 8
Write a story about your Jack-o-Lantern
I can improve my typing skills by writing a story describing my Jack-o’-lantern using complete sentences and describing words.
Students use technology to independently create, organize, and publish digital content, such as stories and presentations, using basic keyboarding and editing skills.
Story – A series of events told with words.
Describe – To tell what something looks like or how it feels.
Adjective – A word that tells more about a noun, like size, color, or feeling.
Look at the Jack-o’-lantern you made on Google Slides.
Think about your pumpkin’s personality. Is it happy, scary, silly, or friendly?
Write a story about your Jack-o’-lantern. You can tell what it looks like, what it likes to do, or any adventures it has.
Use complete sentences and try to include some describing words (adjectives).
When you finish, read your story aloud to a friend.
My Jack-o’-lantern is very happy. It has big, bright eyes and a wide smile. Every night, it lights up and watches over the house. Sometimes it tells funny jokes to the other pumpkins. I named it Sunny because it makes me smile!
