MEASURE
Total number of active Qualified Exempt (exempt from licensing) providers accepting Child Care Assistance Program (CCAP) funds
As of the end of Q4 2022, there are 2 active qualified exempt providers accepting child care assistance program funds
Because of the investment in new CCAP positions, we have already seen significant progress in recruitment and enrollment of qualified exempt providers with one new one fully enrolled and another in the process.
Additionally, new Valley Settlement staff will be partnering with us to continue exceeding this goal of increasing QE and licensed providers.
Supported a provider’s building purchase to increase infant and toddler capacity.
Launched a Vail Daily advertising campaign building additional awareness of CCAP and the application process.
MEASURE
Total number of licensed child care providers accepting CCAP
During Q2 2022, ECG staff engaged in a comprehensive review of all CCAP agreements with child care providers, which ended up cleaning up a number of inactive agreements.
As of the end of Q4 2022, Eagle County has 46 licensed providers with active CCAP licensing agreements in place with 46 active licenses following the comprehensive review.

Total number of licensed child care providers accepting CCAP
In Q1 2022, 22 applications were approved for CCAP with an additional 19 received in Q2 2022 and 19 approved in Q3 2022 and 11 in Q4 2022.
Human Services staff also increased state Child Care Assistance Program (CCAP) funding, which enabled the hiring of two positions to further these goals - a Recruitment and Enrollment Specialist and a Provider Support Specialist.
MEASURE
Total number of families successfully retaining enrollment at recertification in CCAP
To be able to serve more families through CCAP and Early Head Start and maximize those funding streams, the teams are working together to dually enroll EHS families into CCAP. So far, we’ve received 27 EHS family referrals for CCCAP application assistance.
With Human Services direct assistance, a total of 30 families were able to retain enrollment at their CCAP recertification point in Q1 2022 with an additional 11 families able to retain enrollment in Q2 of 2022 and 28 in Q3 2022 and 22 in Q4 2022.
