STATUS
With a goal to increase both enplanements by 15% over the average of the previous 3 years, as of the end of Q3 2022, enplanements are up 7%. Significant progress has been made to increase enplanements with the addition of new routes, including the Q2 2022 announcement about Austin-Eagle routes!

MEASURE
Increase the number of airline contacts made to improve or increase airport traffic
Airport staff made 41 new airline contacts as of the end of Q4 2022. Airline contacts involved one on one meetings at the Routes Air Service Conference, follow-up communications from these meetings, and a site visit made by one of our airline partners, as well as, Breeze reachouts and Alliance connections, attending the JumpStart conference in Reno and associated follow on consultations. Airline contact include calls regarding SCASD grant options; touch bases with each of the existing airlines and meetings at the October Routes Air Service Conference, and various calls with Air Service Consultant.
MEASURE
Increase the number of stakeholder interactions to generate leads for additional services
Airline reachouts includes one on one meetings at the June JumpStart Air Service Conference
Stakeholder interactions included recording an airport video for Vail Live, attending Town of Gypsum meetings, and setting future speaking engagements with local Rotaries, as well as, Vail and Edwards Rotary, Air Alliance, Vail Economic Dev Council, Vail Chamber, Vail Valley Partnership Board and the Vail Entertainment Focus Group. In Q3, Stakeholder interactions include Gypsum Daze parade/booth/event/speaking, VVP Mixer hosted at EGE; Eagle Chamber director meeting, Edwards Rotary Presentation; TOG Council Meeting, and three school tours of the airport.
MEASURE
The Eagle County Airport's master plan has a number of benchmarks identified to build the infrastructure and support elements for increased services, this measure is to track the number of benchmarks achieved towards that aim
The airport completed 11 of the Master Plan Benchmarks in 2022, including bidding the project and selection process for consultant, holding initial MP meeting with consultant and finalized the vendor agreement
In addition to Master Plan efforts, the airport is also currently pursuing Congressional Direct Spending funding for the FIS thru application process and also in process of developing overall EGE staff needs plan
Master Plan Benchmarks include monthly update meetings with consultant, Communication Touchbase with ECG, and initial review of first MP chapters and forecast.
