Eagle County Bridge Grant Program
Eagle County Government recognizes the challenges that the COVID-19 pandemic and related public health orders have placed on local businesses. The Eagle County Bridge Grant program’s goals are to:
Provide economic relief to locally-owned small businesses that are operating at a reduced capacity due to public health orders, with the goal of keeping businesses operating while waiting for orders to lift.
Keep our downtowns and main streets active and energized by assisting small brick and mortar businesses that may be on the brink of closing.
These grant funds are to be used by businesses to satisfy business operating costs. By applying, each applicant agrees to use grant funds only for legitimate expenses directly related to the applicant’s business activities, including rent/mortgage, payroll, insurance, or other monthly business expenses that comply with all federal, state and local laws.
This is not a first-come first-served assistance program. Requests for assistance may exceed the amount of funding available, so not all eligible businesses will receive funding. Applications will be reviewed based on the goals outlined above and a weighted scoring matrix will be utilized to make selections. All eligible small businesses may apply. Priority will be given to businesses whose capacity limits were directly impacted by the public health orders, such as restaurants, gyms and fitness centers, theaters, personal services, and event-related businesses.
Must be an Eagle County-based business that started operations on or before March 10, 2020.
Must be a for-profit, independently owned local business and experiencing dramatically limited operations due to COVID-19 Public Health Orders.
Have no more than 25 full-time equivalent (FTE) positions.
Be a registered business with the Colorado Secretary of State's office.
Be in compliance with the executive orders pertaining to the public health emergency due to COVID-19 and all applicable statewide and local public health orders, including capacity restrictions and will continue into the future.
Businesses with more than one physical location in Eagle County may apply only one time for the grant program for one location only.
Corporately owned national chains may not apply for the grant program. However, individually owned franchise operators residing in Eagle County are eligible.
A W-9 is required.
Funding cannot be used for expenses already paid for by any other local, state or federal grant funding.
