House Points

Eagle Academy House Model

Program Overview

Students are divided into four houses that represent a prominent historical figure that embodies C.L.E.A.R. Under the merit system, each student starts with 250 points per month and lose points based on their actions if they do not embody C.L.E.A.R. Students can lose points by violating uniform protocols, attendance issues, or suspensions. However, students can earn additional merit points for going above and beyond what is expected of students, including earning high points on exams, turning in lost items, assisting teachers, earning honor roll, or on referral from a teacher. Finally, there is a house competition each spring where students compete in a variety of physical and mental challenges that allow their house overall to earn additional points.

Incentives

Events throughout the year are only open to students who have enough points based on how much time has elapsed since the previous event. Events include luncheons for scholars, dances, field trips, etc. At the end of the year, the house with the highest amount of points earns a trip to Six Flags.
