Our Mission

Eagle Grove Area Dollars for Scholars is a community organization committed to helping local high school graduates realize their academic dreams. The organization is affiliated with Scholarship America, but is governed and operated by unpaid volunteers working to support students in the Eagle Grove Community School District.

The overall goal of Dollars for Scholars is to expand access to higher education for Eagle Grove area students. To do this, the local chapter awards scholarships on a fair, non-discriminatory and equitable basis. Dollars for Scholars scholarships can be used for attendance at any recognized college, university, vocational, or trade school.

The Eagle Grove Area Dollars for Scholars organization asks all Eagle Grove High School students, Grades 9-12, to make a commitment each year to our district communities (Eagle Grove, Thor, Woolstock, Vincent) by volunteering 10 hours each year on behalf of local individuals and organizations. Our goal is to encourage area youth to develop a life-long habit of service to others. Learn more by clicking on the EGHS Student Volunteer page.
