Tech Fest is an annual event held at our Erie 1 BOCES Education Campus at 355 Harlem Road. This will be our 13th annual event. Our 2021 event featured 27 vendors in our exhibitor area and 25 presentations throughout the day from Dell, Fortinet, and others.
We invite business officials and technology staff from over 100 public and private school districts in Western New York, but any school staff is welcome. Many WNYRIC/Erie 1 BOCES staff attend as well.
A typical booth space is 6 foot wide, with a 6’ x 18” table for behind you and in front of you (2 tables provided). You are encouraged to bring a table cover with logo, banners, some collateral and swag items to hand out etc. to ‘dress up’ your area.
Your reservation is on the honor system. Payment is expected the day of the event (cash, credit card, check). Cost is determined once the beverage, snack, lunch costs are finalized – probably around $80 for a booth, and an additional $150 for a presentation if selected. Presentation selections are announced mid-September.
You may pay using cash, check or credit card on the day of the event. We do not accept pre-payment or accept POs.
Note: Payments will be made to "Dave's Kitchen" to pay for catering at the event. The WNYRIC is unable to accept payments of our own for this event, therefore you will pay the caterer directly. If paying by credit card, you will receive a receipt from the vendor at time of payment.
For set-up, doors will be open at 7:00 AM, and booth setup should be completed by 8:00 AM as attendees will be arriving around then. Teardown can start at 3:00pm.
Yes, you may! Send to Erie 1 BOCES, 355 Harlem Road, West Seneca, NY 14224. ATTN: Tech Fest, Mat Dziuba
Please note a typical booth space is 6 foot wide, with a 6’ x 18” table for behind you and in front of you (2 tables provided). This is smaller than typical trade show booths. We ask that you plan the space and the items you will need to fill it appropriately.
Yes, should be able to do ethernet hardwire for isolated cases … and yes, we will have WiFi, along with electricity.
You must submit a request to become a presenter by September 1. Presentation slots are 50 minutes each and you may submit multiple entries for consideration. Requests must include a description (125 words max) to be used in communications materials about the event. PowerPoints, graphics, videos and weblinks will not be accepted.
Presentations will be selected based on content and relevancy. You will be notified if your presentation has been selected by September 15.
If selected, presentation rooms have a large screen to show slides/presentations and a connected laptop. The best method for presenting is to use our laptop. Please have your presentation available via DropBox, Google Drive, USB, One Drive, etc...
Upon agreement to participate, BOCES will use vendor logos in the following manner unless specifically prohibited in writing. BOCES will display a vendor webpage declaring participating vendors, found at https://sites.google.com/e1b.org/wnyric-tech-fest-2021/vendors. BOCES will also produce some building posters (approximately 24” x 30” and a similar style to the webpage listed above) to be used the day of the event, displayed in the vendor exhibit area and presentation rooms. The logos used will be captured from the vendor’s website or common access library such as Wikipedia commons, unless BOCES is given specific logos before usage. Vendors who do not give BOCES permission to use their logo’s as listed above will have their name listed as a participant in a relatively plain text format
We will share a list of presentation attendees with presenting vendors. Otherwise, we will not share our attendance list.
