Students will study and apply aerodynamic principles, aircraft control, and instrumentation both in the classroom and during flight opportunities. Topics of study include: flight principles, systems and performance, aerodynamics, weight and balance, navigation, weather reports and interpretation, aviation meteorology, and ground and space based navigation. Students will learn the aeromedical factors for pilots as well as ground operations, piloting skills, and unmanned aerial vehicles, as well as aerospace engineering principles.
Experience flight by hands-on operation of Piper Warrior and take off with a licensed pilot as your teacher.
Experience maintenance procedures with the class aircraft.
Create, develop, and test modification to aircraft designs in an engineering exploration style.
Conceptualize unmanned technology and understand application to current technology.
Experience flight by hands-on operation of a Piper Warrior / Diamond DA40 and take off with an OnCore Aviation CFI (Certified flight instructor) pilot as your flight instructor.
Learn maintenance procedures introductions with the aircraft in class
Create, develop, and test modifications to aircraft designs in an engineering exploration style
Conceptualize unmanned technology and understand applications to current technology.
