Welcome to Fifth Grade! My name is Norma Nieto and I will be your teacher this year. I have been at Mountain View four years now and this is my 12th year teaching in the Dysart District. I have taught 3rd-7th grades now and I am excited to return to teaching 5th Grade.

I am an Arizona native and enjoy summers (yes, even the heat!). Over summer break, I am usually spending time with family, camping, and relaxing. I attended Arizona State University for my Bachelor’s degree and Concordia University Portland for my Master’s Degree. I have a son that will be in Second Grade at Mountain View.

I look forward to a very exciting and productive 2019-2020 school year. Fifth Grade is a wonderful time in your life. You will experience an incredible amount of growth and have many opportunities for great accomplishments and success throughout the year. We will be working as a team to help ensure your continued development at MVS. As a team, we will be working on learning to budget your time, work cooperatively, develop good study habits, and strive to achieve to your highest potential.
