Information for incoming 4th graders- 2022-23 School Year!

Dear Parents/Guardian,

Welcome back! My name is Amy Hines and I will be your child's 4th grade teacher. I am extremely excited to begin the new school year. This is my sixth year at Mountain View Elementary School and this will be my 15th year teaching.

Fourth grade is my absolute favorite grade level! I have taught 3-6th grade in my fourteen years of teaching and fourth grade is by far the most exciting and fun grade level!

This year I will work to create a classroom environment that focuses on STEAM, critical thinking, open-ended questioning and data-driven instruction. I will strive to create a safe and caring classroom community that fosters divergent thinking and student participation. My goal is to create a year of social and academic growth.

Our Meet the Teacher event will be held on Monday, August 1st. School starts August 3rd!
