DISTRICT BUILDING PROJECT
January 13, 2021
By working outside of school hours, contractors were able to cut out concrete inside the school for our remodel project. As you can see, yes, there were wires cut. But since contractors worked outside of school hours, a minimal disturbance was made to the school day. Thanks to them, as well our teachers/staff and students for being flexible during the past day and a half so that this could be accomplished!

After Dec. 1, you should be seeing steel structure going up. Thank you to Ryan Lund for the drone pictures.

As summer hits full stride, evidence of construction is happening at Dawson-Boyd. Brent Moseng Construction is building the custodial garage as L & S Electrical of Springfield, MN, is getting a jump start on the building project for the new elementary addition. Reminder to parents of young children...please have the conversation that it is ok to see what is going on from outside the cones...but do not enter the construction site. As the summer winds down and the beginning of school gets closer, more machinery and "action" will be taking place.

The Dawson-Boyd School Board approved bid packages at last night's (June 8) Board meeting for the remodel/addition project. All bids came in under budget which allowed the district to add in all of it's alternates, which also came in under budget. Once plans are approved and finalized by the State of Minnesota, dirt work will begin. The projected start is August 2020.
