DVUSD's distirct communication tool makes it easy to communicate to parents of your students. Rosters are already set up in the system, which can send emails and/or texts with a few taps on the keyboard. In one hour, you will be able to learn everything you need to get started with this easy communication tool!

All staff | This session will review some of the social media platforms that DVUSD champions and talk about how and why the platforms such as Twitter, Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, etc. can work for you. We will talk about how to connect with other educators for professional growth and development, influence the next generation to join the profession, and how to effectively connect to the community, students, and parents through social media. Students, staff and community are already on the platforms so how can you be a contributor to the conversation? We will talk about everything from how to get started to increasing your digital footprint to becoming a next-level social media influencer to what resources are available for you to learn and grow as an educator. This session will meet users at their level and adjust accordingly. Bring your device!

All staff | While many of us started using Zoom in the last few years, we continue to use it to allow for virtual meetings with district groups, collaborative teams, students and their parents, and various partners. When that Zoom meeting comes, learn tips to be a great participant or host. Go from scheduling meetings, viewing reports, and adjusting video settings, to exploring in-meeting features like apps, whiteboards, live transcription, and other great new features.
