Why use YouTube

  • Mobile Learning. Use it to introduce a topic, explain an online activity, explain step by step how to do something, or extend learning. Gives more time to focus on students and less time explaining.
  • Online learning library. Use it to store videos created by you or someone else that students can access.
  • Microlearning. Create or use short instructional videos in small sections to ensure knowledge is retained.
  • Note-taking. It encourages the development of note-taking as students are able to view, rewind and replay material until it is fully grasped.
