Security and Care of Equipment

When keyboard is set to lock, the tablet will not disconnect from the device.




  • Slide setting to Lock. (orange = locked)


  • Insert security cable.


  • Use key to secure lock.

Extended Screen

Launch Extended Screen Mode


  1. Press FN + F5
  2. Select Extend

OR

  1. Use the Action Center, by swiping touch screen from the right to the left.
  2. Select Project
  3. Select Extend

Change the Resolution


While plugged into the projector, you must have a resolution of 1280 X 800


When NOT plugged in, you can choose a resolution that works best . (Try 1366 X 768)

Customize the settings of the Touchpad.

Question: I have lost my mouse, how do I get it back?

Answer: There are a couple of a ways to completely turn off the touchpad for those that use an external mouse. One way allows you to double click the white icon on the actual touchpad as shown on the right. At times, you may accidentally double tap this area because it is right by the "double click" button. You can disable this button by following the directions below.


First try tapping the FN + F9 keys simultaneously.

Watch for a message in the lower right corner of the screen for a message that says "Touchpad Enabled".

To Disable this Feature: (of being able to double tap the white icon on the touchpad to turn off the touchpad)

  1. Click the Windows icon in bottom right corner (formerly the START menu)
  2. Choose SETTINGS
  3. Choose DEVICES
  4. Choose MOUSE & TOUCHPAD in left column
  5. Choose ADDITIONAL MOUSE OPTIONS (blue words at the bottom)
  6. Choose the ADVANCED tab
  7. Choose ADVANCED FEATURES SETTINGS button
  8. Choose the TOUCHPAD tab
  9. Remove the checkmark in front of TOUCHPAD ON/OFF BY DOUBLE TAPPING

Question: Mouse keeps jumping back to previous page when I am on a website. How do I make it stop?

Answer: There is a Touchpad setting which enables the user to quickly move between web pages by sliding your finger across the top of the touchpad.

To Disable this Feature

  1. Click the Windows icon in bottom right corner (formerly the START menu)
  2. Choose SETTINGS
  3. Choose DEVICES
  4. Choose MOUSE & TOUCHPAD in left column
  5. Choose ADDITIONAL MOUSE OPTIONS (blue words at the bottom)
  6. Choose the ADVANCED tab
  7. Choose ADVANCED FEATURES SETTINGS button
  8. Choose the TOUCHPAD tab
  9. Remove the checkmark in front of USE BROWSER SUPPORT FUNCTION

Question: The font on my icons are very difficult to read. How can I change the font on my title bars, menus, message boxes, icons, etc.?

Answer: There is a setting that allows customization of font and size.

To Change font and size settings:

  1. Select Start Menu.
  2. Go to Settings.
  3. Select System and Display. (it should default to the Display menu)
  4. Scroll down to Advanced Display Settings.
  5. Scroll down to Advanced Sizing of Text and Other Items.
  6. In the section under “Change only the text size” select the type of text to make larger, such as text on icons, then choose font size and select apply.

Question: The icons on my desktop seem large compared to everything else on my computer.

Answer: There are settings that allow you to change the size of the desktop icons.

To change Desktop Icon size:

  1. Right-click on an empty space on the desktop.
  2. Select View from the contextual menu.
  3. Select either Large icons, Medium icons or Small icons.
