Now that you have 5 iPads, now what do you do with them? Use this webpage to understand how the iPad can be used in your classroom.

Why use iPads?


  • Increase student access to technology in the classroom
  • Encourage students to use mobile devices for learning
  • Increase student engagement
  • Promote Digital Citizenship
  • Increase differentiation ability with small groups
  • Prepare students for their future


Build Student's Toolchest


  • Introduce new app or tool each week.


  • Students use app to complete an activity.


  • Later, let students choose best tool to complete an activity.

Now that you have found some apps and they have been added to the devices, you might find a need to focus the students on one specific app while using the iPad. With Guided Access you can limit the device a single app. Learn more about Guided Access.

          • QR codes can be created on an iPad or computer.
          • QR codes are graphic files that can be inserted into documents, websites, newsletters, etc.
          • Always test QR codes before using them.
          • Put QR codes in centers for self-checking activities.

How do I get photos/videos to my Z Drive?

ClassLink can be used to access your Z Drive. This will also allow students/teachers to upload from the iPad to the Z Drive so files can be accessed on a computer.
