Google Classroom

Use Google Classroom to create a virtual classroom to enhance communication with students, create and collect assignments, and help students stay organized. Use this webpage to:

              • Learn about the various features in Classroom.
              • Learn to navigate the application.
              • Learn some tips in using Classroom.

This is not accessible through a personal gmail.



*The first time you sign in, make sure you select Teacher even if you are planning to join someone's class.

YOU MUST SIGN IN TO GOOGLE CHROME TO ACCESS THE G SUITE TRAINING VIDEO LINKS ON THIS WEBPAGE

To sign in to Google Chrome:

  1. Open Google Chrome.
  2. In the top right, click the person icon or the icon with a bunch of squares (I call it the "waffle" icon).
  3. Login to your District Google account and open Google Classroom.

Create a Class

1. Click the plus sign.

2. Select Create class.


3. Give class a Name

4. Label section (such as class period/block)

5. Type subject (optional)

Tips for Teachers

  • Easily share a website to class by using Share To Classroom extension.
  • Google Calendar integration
  • Invite a teacher to a class.
  • Move post to the top.
  • Attach a Google Form to announcement for student assessment/feedback.
  • When first creating question, assignment, announcement, you can assign to multiple classes.
  • Reuse a post and assign to any class.
  • Enable email notifications.
  • Export grades to sheets.
