On/Off button

When the light touches a surface it runs down the battery.

This is a "Dummy" pen for those moments you need the "feel" of a pen, otherwise you can use your finger.

Make the board interactive

The USB cable must be plugged into the laptop and the wall plug in order for the board to be interactive.

This is the 1st item to check when troubleshooting why the pen is not working properly with the board.

Required Resolution to project on the board

In order for the interactive pen to work properly, the resolution MUST be set to 1280 X 800 while the HDMI cable is plugged in to the Toshiba.

This is the 2nd setting to check when troubleshooting why the pen is not working properly with the board.

  1. Right click on desktop. (If setting this for projector resolution, plug in projector first.)
  2. Choose Graphics Options.
  3. Choose Resolution.
  4. Set to resolution shown above.

Calibration

(for all campuses except Acton and Hastings - these campuses will create a HelpDesk ticket if the board needs to be calibrated.)

Calibration aligns the tip of the pen with the target points on the screen.

Green chain link in the system tray

      • indicates a good connection
      • right click to select Calibration

Red chain link in the system tray

      • indicates loss of connection
      • plug in the USB cable

  1. Right click on green chain link.
  2. Choose Calibration.
  3. Turn interactive pen on.
  4. Tap pen on the targets showing on the board after you select Calibration.
