"At Doty, we are proud to offer the AVID program to our students. AVID helps to support students and families that aspire to go to college but may not have a college-going tradition in their families. Students in this program benefit from tutoring, are placed in advanced classes, and are given extra support to be successful. The AVID class is offered to 7th and 8th graders as an elective. Students that promote from Doty can continue to take the AVID elective in high school. "
