Softball

Season Information: Teams will be entered in the weekly Central Otago Softball Competition which is held on Tuesdays at Molyneux Park. 

Round 1: Term 4 until early December

Round 2 Dates: Mid Feb - March 

Tournament teams will be selected to attend the SISS Softball Tournament in March. Once named, these teams will play together in the post Christmas competition (Round 2) and will practice until tournament. The start date for other players may alter as we adjust teams to accommodate player numbers which will include new Year 9s.

Trials: Only trials for Tournament teams, weekly teams are divided by gender and/or age.

Trainings: The coaches discretion leading up to tournament

Games: Tuesday evenings at 6.30pm for seniors or 5pm for juniors

Exchanges and Tournaments: South Island Secondary Schools Division II Tournament

Cost: $30 per player for season, and $10 for new players that register for Term 1 only.

Uniforms: Players wear black DHS sports top and shorts for club competition. Tournament teams are supplied with uniforms.

Equipment Required: Softball mitt - kits will have some spare but it is better to have your own mitt
